What is NPTC?
National Physics Talent Contest (NPTC) is one of the contests of National Science Talent Contest (NSTC). NSTC is held every year under the umbrella of 'STEM Careers Programme' which is a joint venture of 'Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS)' and 'Higher Education Commission (HEC)'.
You can represent Pakistan in the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) through this contest.
What is IPhO? The International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) is an annual physics competition for high school students. It is one of the International Science Olympiads. Each national delegation is made up of at most five student competitors plus two leaders, selected on a national level. For their efforts, the students can be awarded gold, silver, or bronze medals or an honourable mention.

How can I represent Pakistan in IPhO?
To represent Pakistan in International Physics Olympiad (IPhO), you have to pass the Screening Test of NPTC. Then, the students qualified in Screening Test will participate in Training/Selection Camps held at Home Institute (HI) of NPTC. The top 5 students will be selected, on the basis of their performance in these camps, for participation in IPhO.
Home Institution (HI)
The home institute of NPTC is 'Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS)' in Islamabad. PIEAS is a public research university located in Islamabad, Pakistan. The university is modeled on international standards with a strong focus on the scientific advancement of the nuclear science-related STEM fields and medical sciences.

Apply Now During the registration for the Screening Test of NSTC, you will select Physics as your principal subject as you are participating in NPTC.
